    Why LHD cars?

I think Subaru may just kick themselves with delaying the BRz launch - they are going to miss out on so many impulse and hype driven orders... For me, I've arranged a test drive for next week - if it is more enjoyable to drive then I'll be putting my name on the wait list.

I interrogated him fairly hard on options and he expects to see some wheels and suspension (TRD coil overs?) boxes you will be able to tick apart from just the aero kit. When I asked about option prices he could not answer me but said he would send me an email in the morning with what he could find out from Toyota AUS.
I won't be handing over any cash till I drive a car either way.
The guy I've been dealing with wants one himself but doesn't know any more than the public, he's got a test day in Brisbane tomorrow though so he should come back with an answer.

He just dropped off my contract, $34113.20 on road including metallic paint ($400). My deposit is still refundable pending finance and a test drive, they're not really fussed if I pull out as they'd be lucky to have the extra car from allocation.

It was the test mule with all the checked stickers which was LHD. The other car was RHD.

I've been quoted $1.7k for my runabout that's only done 15,000km in the past 3 years. I just think it's such a rip off.

dont know why you would bother with extended warrenty, surely you guys are going to mod them, and track them, and thus loose warrenty

Or incredibly smart... all the desperate people who were too slow to get a FT86 they want will then jump in quick to secure a BRZ.

So in other works, it's a smart move for Subaru to pick up the scraps that Toyota cannot "fulfil" given both come out of the same factory.

I bet subaru is holding back and hedging their bets to see if it flops here or not. I get the impression Subaru Aus has not been interested in this product from day one. The website reads like they are slightly embarassed by it.
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Well, we haven't seen Nick Senior and his loud mouth cry foul again so I reckon you're spot on.

Subaru won't match the Toyota price.
