Do you mind me asking what kind of brakes you have and how much a good brake package is?

I'm pretty convinced on going FULL base model and doing the rest from there....

If your place of work will let you do a lease though a company of your choice Toyota can do Novated leasing either fully maintained or not. I wont bother with the maintained details as its more or less the same as everyone else. The non maintained works out to be $651 per month over 5 years with 10k ballon.
I also asked for the Pat Hamiltons about Toyota finance. $823 with no money down over 5 years no ballon. So chuck what $10k deposit at that number and it would be ~$600 would be my guess.
The early dealer info pack predicted a significant percentage of these would be novated leases. My work has fairly decent arrangements so this is probably the way I'd go, but you have to check out the costs, also you can get your own quote from a dealer if you think you can do better than the lease company

I wonder if they keep the 12.5:1 compression ratio and only use a small amount of boost or use thicker head gaskets and use a little more than a small amount of boost?

It's not like only 400 will be built like the WRX STi V5 2 door but then again, stupidier people do exist out there.

No fucking shit it makes no sence to buy a new car then gut it as a race car and expect it to be value for money. Clearly you are looking for an obtuse way of telling us you are a hardcore hectic race car builder and to build some "cred" on a forum you are new to but still you can do that with much less retarded statments. I know I am supposed to be nice to new cunts and all that fuck.
                      Thanks for that.

Saying that you’d have to spend its purchase price again probably is a slight exaggeration, but let’s face it, the car has been produced to be built upon by tuners and enthusiasts alike. The amount of aftermarket support the car had before it was released is testament to that. How many new buyers are likely to keep it standard? New wheels/tyres (because the standard items are gayer than Elton John), coil overs/other suspension mods, bolt on turbo/supercharger kit (plus supporting mods) and a brake upgrade. Good bye $20 plus K. I was not knocking the car – I think it’s great to see that Toyota are back on the right track, but it just doesn’t appeal to me in stock form. However, in your case, it gives me great satisfaction to know just by offering an opinion can cut an 86 fan boy so deep. So go fuck yourself and your 3800 posts.

yeah but a car that does appeal to you would be double the price, and you wouldn't buy it

so what are they supposed to do exactly? you tell me

This car is $30k. Ten years ago the S15 was $40k. By your high standards that's not good enough either.

Well clearly it needs to be Race Spec.

I don't get the point of pulling out all the stock shit and going aftermarket. The purpose of the car is to have something fun and flickable stock. So if go putting coilovers and sticky tyres on it, sure it may handle better, but its still going to be slow. To me it only makes sense stock or massively modified where it starts making decent power. But at that stage, you're probably better off with a 370z if you've got your heart set on a coupe.
