So no one has test driven yet? I was expecting everyone was going to be replying with what the car was like....except Marty of course.

Spiller, you get your shit with the dealer sorted?

p.s. I think my wife is starting to understand how important this car is to me.... :D I haven't really shut up about it for a few weeks...
I survived the patio flooding catastrophe of 2012.

Pov pack, it's the new panda. Won't be long before people are painting their bumpers black.

For what it is and what they're charging for it, it's fine. Having seen and sat in both specs in Japan I don't see an issue. If Toyota was charging say 39,990 + Orc then sure but at sub 30k what is there to complain about.

That's not the trd package. That's the "aero" package. Trd doesn't have a gay spoiler.

The aero package without the rear wing would
                  be ok

fair, you are the one who is going to be driving the thing at the end of the day. By the time you get it on road though, its closer to mid 30s and that's not necessarily a "small" amount of money for a car that has an interior of similar spec to a suzuki swift or something.

Got a call from the tart that is "filling in" for the guy that sold me my car this morning telling me that she still had no info on my order for me. Her voice was shaky and she talked really quickly which led me to believe she actually had NFI what she was talking about. I hung up pretty pissed off then called back a few hours later and spoke to the guy that gipped me on the paint protection (who believe it or not is a fairly helpful, nice guy). He pretty much explained the previous woman had NFI as I thought and gave me my stock no. Build date is September which means I "should" have a car by October. Suits me perfectly as im going away in 5 weeks on a 6 week holiday and have too much other shit to deal with atm like selling my evo and planning a wedding.

                                Fark...

I remember when Power Steering, Aircon, power mirrors and velour seats were luxury. Honestly you're (well I am, so I won't comment on others) buying a car that was built primarily as a fun, drivers car, that be driven in anger along a twisty road or taken to the track to have some fun.

Things like leather bolstered seats, premium sound, dual zone air (seriously dual zone air in a car the size of a 240z WTF!) etc etc don't matter.

I'm buy this thing to thrash the shit out of it. I don't want spend one cent more than required on road, and that $5665 I save means I have money to give to Dale (hint hint Dale) to make it go faster!

About the *only* that I wold have wished for are the bigger brakes, but I will play that one by ear and if required just go straight to a big brake setup (2002-2004 STi Rotors and 2002-2008 STi Brembo's)

A side note I took out my 260z on Sunday, cloth seats, no steer, no air, two tinny speakers (although I did upgrade the head unit), but with a glorious set of carbs, extractors, free flowing exhaust. Drove it for 150K round trip. That sound, that smell of fuel, I wasn't thinking hmmm I wonder if I had leather seats would my driving experience be enhanced or if I had a sat nav would be able to found the Old Pacific Hwy etc. That shit doesn't matter.
