Bang on. I worked a few years ago for a Tier 2, and our pricing to the OEM's was based on a very narrow band of parts/year. Any less and the customer would pay more. Any more, and the customer would pay more (per part). Costing on mass produced items is a very exact science and variation in projections play havoc with every part of your business.

Tarago or the 86?

So anyway Motor group tested the 86.

Ran 0-100 in 7.38 seconds
0-400m in 15.22

4 seconds slower than a Scirocco and 2.5 seconds slower than both a WRX and Clio around Wakefield, although 0.7 faster than an SV6 and MX5

Personally I reckon only 2.5 seconds slower than a WRX is not bad for a non-turbo car that doesn't have AWD.

That was a great video with the Hungarian guy; I especially liked his point that "it is a grand tourismo, welll actually a small tourismo, but definitely a tourismo". I was waiting for his metal blades to shoot out of his hands though.
