yeah some generic thing (AZ6 something) although i'm lead to believe they have improved shift feel but not torque rating as if they never expected to have anything but moderate requirements (under 300Nm?)

yep a Toyota Japan guy said the box would not definately not handle a standard WRX STi engine, they are around 400nm from memory?
I think the box is from the same Aisin family as the IS200/S15/MX-5 but is a fair bit different from them at the same time

the back and front half are connected, so I would be assuming it wouldn't be healthy.
