That blue BRZ looks like a 90s s-coupe with a body kit.

that side badge with the '86' and the boxer pistons is... contrived

also some places are saying that the new name is just "86"... that's it

be that as it may, i suspect quite a few will end up here and on the roads given the low $30s price... some spaz at toyota AU even said "expect the $29,990s"

The pictures on the last page I reckon are the best looking of all the concepts etc we've seen to date. I feel a bit dirty for actually wanting a Toyota (it's like admitting to liking Volvos 20 years ago), but there you go. The only questionmark in my mind now is the low torque at high RPM problem. (That, and seeing if they've made it big enough inside for the larger Aussie gent).

It's a 2L NA motor what did you expect, over 100Nm/L is pretty fucking good.
              If in doubt power out

How many other NA 2L engines make all their torque that high up the rev range though? But yeah, I take your point, I'm used to seeing torque figures that begin with a 5 or at worst, a 3...

I do not understand the comparison between these and a Golf. That Hyundai coupe thing would be a much better comparison...if we get it.

Its a Jap RWD, which means making them do things better is going to be alot simpler than a euro FWD.

Average CocksSwallowed/hr ratio on these is going to be alot lower than a Golf too.

A better comparison is the 4age. Needs big revs or boost to be quick.

hundai coupe is a full size up

it's pushing 1.6 ton and well over 200kW

will lose the 86 pretty quick in a straight line
