Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

All up pretty good. Going to drive it this week then take it back to get it tuned for another stab at wsid shooting for a 12.

I finally got around to fitting the 17s (thanks gammaboy), but I think the brand new yokos gripped better than the possibly older 595evos. So may swap to some sticky rears if they don't hook up at the track.

I installed Eibach Pro-Kit springs in mine last week and took it to Qld Raceway on Sunday for some laps. It's a little firmer but still quite comfortable.

Did the springs improve the handling?

Can't say, I hadn't been able to drive it that hard before with the standard springs.

I know Damo can get coilovers so he might be able to hook you up with some springs at the right price.

Very little to be honest, I'm mostly getting it as a cheap commuter which is a bit of fun so going nuts on the mods would defeat the purpose for me (and if I did that I'd be doing it to an S15)

This is exactly what I've done. I use mine for daily commuting (roughly 90km/day) and its perfect! Comfortable, easy to drive, cheap to service, good fuel consumption (~8.7L/100km) and makes the drive to work fun
