Don't know. But straight line arguments are easier to quantify and compare, are they not. So of course it gets attention on a forum where numbers suggest performance, not a kinesthetic relationship with a car to properly judge what's best.Originally posted by psssi98 View PostDo all circuit racing types argue back and forth constantly like a pack of pussy hurt teenage girls as seems to be happening here?
Anyone buying an 86 who expects it to be as fast as an fg falcon taxi is deluded. Brilliant car, but no different to an mx5 and noone talks about them in straight lines.Originally posted by BosshoggettIf your planing to drive this on the road and enjoy it, id suggest a second opinion, someone with a history in Australian Rally or Fink River . If your just playing dyno comps. Then ok

No. Sold brz because not turboing. Rather put money into v12. As per sale add on pf.Originally posted by <---cop View PostThe truth comes out?
Brz sti because brz is excellent car and by then it should have some nice quirks to set it apart. The boys at sti have been doing phenomenal cars since 1994? So can be quietly confident it will be a good thing.Originally posted by BosshoggettIf your planing to drive this on the road and enjoy it, id suggest a second opinion, someone with a history in Australian Rally or Fink River . That's pretty hilarious given the 500000 reviews online showing stock ones doing mid to high 14sOriginally posted by IBOOST View PostIIRC none of the modded 86s/BRZ's (except the Turbo one) in Motor Mag Hot Tuner this month could do better than a 15.1

Most of the online auto mags like R&T, Motortrend, Ignition, etc were getting high 14s easy, standing start, BRZ or FRS

An extra 50hp is hardly phenomenal. Dale did something far more phenomenal by the sounds of it. STI brakes and pretty bodykit aside, its not going to be a different car. If you want a different car, that's why Subaru sells a WRX STI.Originally posted by Cracka View PostNo. Sold brz because not turboing. Rather put money into v12. As per sale add on pf.

I didn't buy the mag but had a quick flick through. I think they were claiming to have smoothed out or eliminated the torque curve dip.Nathan

Then I'll turbo it with a forged 8:1 fb25 short block and gt40.
And watch fuckwits complain I ruined the delicate balance or some shit.Originally posted by BosshoggettIf your planing to drive this on the road and enjoy it, id suggest a second opinion, someone with a history in Australian Rally or Fink River . If your just playing dyno comps. Then ok
