Well well well... Seems Toyota AU has secured an additional batch of several hundred cars now, and as a result everyone's delivery dates have been pushed forward.Originally posted by UZZ31 View PostThat's the wait times based on current allocations though which are not numbers set in stone. As i said now that they know initial demand they will surely crank up production which means all those orders will be filled way ahead of those estimates?
Not that I predicted this would happen or anything

I don't think either are tanking (certainly not Japan anyway) but Australia does have the longest wait times for any market so it makes sense to re-direct some production here. This is part of the reason they ditched the spare wheel as it bought them more into line with euro specOriginally posted by rj_astra View PostOr redirecting capacity from markets that could be tanking (eg Europe, Japan)?

you can see here people are changing their minds due to the wait times
a lost sale is a lost sale so no doubt dealers are running that back up the chainOriginally posted by boxxx
Deutsche Bahn Rail: Trains are a great way to get lots of people concentrated into a small area, like a camp.
ACA/TT: Where's the line between a car enthusiast and hoon? There is none

My guess is they are re-directing manuals from uae to aus and autos from aus to uae.....Originally posted by rj_astra View PostJapan just gone back into recession... Europe kaput... USA looking glum. I reckon they will try to sell as many as they can here
Not really, but found out the stats the other day 80% of the ft86's sold here so far are auto!!
Add to that the autos are 130,000aed and the manuals are 95,000. Or around $10kaud extra for the auto.....
