Zzedicus, did they give you back your deposit? Ive been thinking about cancelling mine and getting a 2011 or 12 STi instead but there is supposed to be a new STi/WRX mid way through next yr so perhaps ill just putt around in my FRS for a while then sell it if I dont like it. They do look fucking sexual dumped on nice wheels, this is undeniable.

how are things going with the CHE turbo kit?

Not really, but found out the stats the other day 80% of the ft86's sold here so far are auto!!

Add to that the autos are 130,000aed and the manuals are 95,000. Or around $10kaud extra for the auto.....

      Craziness!
are you talking about gearboxes (not in the PF sense, think you are as you aren't likely to forget what side of the road you are driving on) or are you retired and talking about cars?

they do like their autos there though, i looked at buying a 350Z when i was there and would have pretty much had to buy new to get a manual, the other upsides to this would have been that the new ones were only 10,000 durhums more and they hadn't been crashed as much as all the used ones i saw.

I knew these would look good on BBS.

Nah, Japan is exactly the same as it's been for 20 years and it has been very successful there, waiting lists not as long there as here but still stretching out quite some distance. Haven't been to europe or the US for a little bit so I'm not sure exactly how they're selling there and while they have some serious issues in some areas their economies aren't as bad as some are making out.

Yeah was just a comment in reference to the U.S. and Euro being shaged so cars going to Aus, so all lhd vehicles will roll off the Auto production line and all Manual ones will roll off the rhd side.

You are not wrong about the second hand jap tax! Here I think if you buy a new car, must be jap. If you want a second hand car go euro. The Euro stuff looses 90% of it value in a couple years and the Jap stuff barely looses anything. I know a guy who bought a 2009 gtr for 340,000aed 3 years and well over 100,000kms later sold it for 270,000 then upgraded to the 2012 for around 400,000ish the new price went up as its a lot more car the 2012 model. IMO thats not bad value for money new sports car motoring considering the 100,000+kms would have thashed harder than insert pf member here at mardi gras

I have to go back today with the receipt. Deposit refund to original account seems the most obvious reason for this requirement, given they could easily verify my identity and order status without it. I will let you know.

it is impossible for any car not to look good with LMs

Good to know you can still get them in this fitment, would be a shithouse ride on 19s though

if i get punted into a wall, or if i over reach and end up too hot at some point, should i not spend another 200-300clams and look after myself with some simple safety gear??
