Just did mine then as it was irritating me on the way home. Had nfi whether to try slightly thicker or slightly thinner than spec oil, tried to read up on it at work, in the end theory goes thinner can allow the syncros to work better (at the cost of slightly increased wear), wouldve got one of the Redlines but no time to order it in and not wanting to pay ripoff local store price for it so went for Nulon full synth 75w85. Bit thinner than stock but not as thin as what some of the US guys in cold climates have used.Originally posted by teamtoken View Postyeah I think a fluid change for the box will be the first port of call, apparently it does help.
Any idea of some good gearbox oils?
Got a khana on the weekend so between now and then will see...

Oil change has made a bit of an improvement, its still not as good as it should be but is definately better. If i had the inclination/cash i would experiment with a few different viscosities to see what works best but as it is now i think i'll leave it and see how it goes over time

Serious?? You can't see why Kingaroy may be different to Sydney? Garaging may be have less exposure than driveway, traffic offences shouldn't matter, kms travelled shouldn't matter, age of main driver, age of nominated drivers etc???Originally posted by ferdie View Postmine is around 600/year and is stock.... buggeres me how the rates can be so different...

The black brembos were from a wrecker ingleburn way? I normally use a guy at Smithfield but he put me on to others guys. $850 inc the braided lines. Paid another $70 for a seal kit from kns brakes.Originally posted by baggins View PostMZ21 was yours down with Nick getting sorted? Can I ask where you got your front calipers from if so?

Does the FT86 have turret oil for the gearbox (like the MX5)? Did you change that?Originally posted by UZZ31 View PostOil change has made a bit of an improvement, its still not as good as it should be but is definately better.
