Thing is, i cant remember being able to 'delicately balance the car with the throttle'. The brz didnt have enough power for that. It had enough power to brutally clutch kick it out of a corner after a trail braked crossed up entry like a lunatic who still has 4wd to save him, and counter steer to suit. But it was full throttle. None of this feathering to adjust the line shit. If you lifted, it was tankslapper time. You can get them into some sweet slides, sure. But you control them with the wheel, not the boot, unlike any other rwd with some poke I've driven that you genuinely throttle steer.
So unless you're on a 5m wide race track with a huge flowing corner, i call bullshit. And if you are, a brz/86 is a slow cumbucket to waste the tracks time with. As a single lane, down a mountain road, its brilliant. But there is no 'delicately balancing on the right foot'. Just lots of boot in for wheelspin, and less for none.
Also a very good chance I'm an average driver, and never bothered to explore the delicate nature of a 200hp 1400kg under tyred car. Likely actually.
