My sales experience:
+ Good looking young sales chick wearing tight pants
+ Basically said "did you want to take it for a test drive"?
+ Asked "do you know much about them?", and then didn't bother trying to tell me about it
+ I bought it, she did paperwork, etc

I've bought a few new cars, it was the least bullshit sales process I've been through for the lot.

In fact even the bloke there for delivery said "did you need help with bluetooth setup or anything or did you just want to do it all yourself?", so even that part wasn't shit.

They're cheaper here, compared to the rest of the market, than anywhere else in the world.
You can pay more for a Corolla than an 86 GTS here ... in the UK you can almost buy a Cayman for the price of a new GTS!

Have you driven the auto? As a person that owns 2 AE86 Corollas both twin cams I am well aware the 86 being not-boring rather than fast. I know the concept of what they are trying to achieve now and back in the AE86 days. The auto is far from boring. I was very surprised and won't be losing sleep that I have just purchased one. It's not as precise as my ISF box but pretty close. I am not taking away from the manual as if it were up to me and not my wife I would have gone with it but the auto is certainly not a step back.
