Have you guys had any luck negotiating with Toyota on these? In the current market, do you think it's worth buying a low km model second hand? They seem to be overpriced considering the price you can buy new.
With MY15 being wholesale tomorrow, there's slim to nil stock coming in that's unsold until end of August.
You'll be lucky to get a grand off until stock frees up.

Used are overpriced considering prices new. Don't bother - chances are it's been thrashed anyway

Find a country dealer that has one in stock. I paid $30500 driveaway for a '13 build in January this year.

There would have been a '13 bonus on that car, and being a GT, a bit of desperation to get rid of it. Good score but.

Right now, as I said, good luck finding anything unsold

As a daily driver I find stuff like the sat nav, keyless entry, climate control, speedo you could read the speed on, much nicer interior etc worth something and the brakes (biggest difference is the rears, much bigger and ventilated vs small solid on the GT) and HID's make a difference when out for a drive. It's a very personal thing though, for me the car was so cheap to begin with that the extra 5k really didn't matter.

I went for a decent drive yesterday out over bells line/tarana/bathurst/ilford/bylong valley/yarrawa/putty/wisemans/old road and after 18 months having the car it still blows me away how capable it is out on a country road. I'd also say get the MCA suspension, I've driven some pretty well set up cars in my time but the things it was able to do up a goat track that's wisemans ferry road still genuinely astonishes me. Up a road like that my old S14 would've blinked and wondered where the fuck the 86 disappeared to. They are an amazing car for the money for a driving enthusiast, you won't win stoplight drags or pub arguments with one but if you enjoy driving they are quite incredible.

GTS is definitely the one to have. GT only if it's going to be a modified track car

None of those things apart from Xenons and bigger brakes matter (from a performance perspective), even xenons are a nice to have (but really did like those headlights on my old STi)

Xenons for better night driving and bigger brakes (well pretty obvious why).

My F6 has dual zone climate control, fucked if in 5 years it's been used once. It's either on cold (summer) or warm winter. 6K buys alot of go fast bits.

Seats & SatNav would be why I'd go GTS.
                        Maybe brakes.
And probably the wheels; not great, but better.

Wasn't there a LSD thing? Or was that auto vs manual?
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

They all have LSD now. Original gt spec autos didn't. They all do now.

I prefer the 16' wheels anyway. The 17s just look like aids.

The 16in wheels are sex compared to the stock 17's. I only wish the 16's came in a 17x8 or you could buys them cheaply from somewhere in that size.

The 16in's didn't clear Brembo's they're now of my car.
