heh. "hey can we have a look?"

"no, its a turbo engine in there"

    "can we see it?"

"no, its definately in there, read the press release. says so right there."

Subaru officially quotes power at 345bhp and 332lb ft of torque, but Subaru's Dominik Infante told TG.com the concept car actually produces closer to 450bhp. "They quote it lower on the stand, but that's just an agreement between the Japanese manufacturers," he smiles. "In the race series they downgrade their power, but in reality - in this concept car - that engine makes 450."

see this is the height of bullshit

guy says they have a GT300 turbo FA20 in there... its supposed to do 'up to 350hp' in race trim, but it has 450hp here

      "can we see it?"

"no, its definately in there, read the press release. says so right there."

like the concept cars with black windows. its literally a mould stuck on some scaffolding with wheels.

"this xyz concept has a power plant using revolutionary hybrid design and a F1 derived v6 turbo engine with best fuel efficiency ever making 700hp"

fuck off. none of that exists.

So what's the consensus on the Bullet super charger kit. Seems like a nice very factory looking option, with only a 1 day turnaround (according to their website).

I've heard reports of high inlet temps with the blower. I've only spoken with 1 owner who had the thing installed for about 2000km, he was over the moon with it at that stage. No weirdness, drove like a factory car.

They're not intercooled are they? I guess that's kind of the appeal of the simplified plumbing.

Heh heh that 300hp cap in JAF GT300 class hadn't been adhered to for at least a decade so yeah that 450hp figure is close to the mark-if indeed that particular engine is under the bonnet.

                  http://www.bulletcars.com/supercharg...er-system.html
                  Price:
                  Australia (includes GST)
$4990 - Complete Intercooled Supercharger System (without tuning ECUTK recommended)
$990 - ECUTEK Licence and Tune
$390 - ECUTEK Download Cable. Fully refunded on return.

They are intercooled, was looking at buying one already done in Mackay (http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...SSE-AD-3193265), but opted for a brand new one for $5000 more.

Funny it says ecuwreck recommended when Bullet themselves got me to retune the crap knock filled tune on their own car.

Pretty sure they recommend using the bullet exhaust upgrade with the blower aswell, costing something like an extra $1,300.

Coyote - got any dyno sheets of tunes you have done with the bullet kits?

OK, But isn't Ecutek just a way of getting into the factory ECU? Or Does Ecutek completely override the factory ECU firmware with its own.

At any rate isn't it the case the whether it's Ecutek, Haltec or Motec (scaling up here) just as good as the map that's loaded into it?

Is the issue with the supplied Bullet base map?

While I'm here, have you seen any Bullet S/C installs crack the 200 KW ATW mark?

So. I'm selling my Civic next month, and an 86 is on the short list for a new daily.

Will i miss my steering wheel volume controls?
This worked out well....Does the Mazda 3 retain the desired steering wheel volume controls?

You won't miss the controls, because in the 86 the steering wheel does something interesting, like steering the car.

In a Civic it's just the mount for the audio controls.
