The 86 is crying out for drivers, it appears you failed the test.

Did your wife at least let you pick the colour?

It's a daily so wanted practical, safe and something good on fuel - have SLK & C63 for other duties which a re plenty of fun to drive

Have to admit that a low $20s second hand 86, the track kit, Enkeis, MCA reds and some brakes would make for an awesome 35k package. If I decide I want out of the sports sedan such a set up would be towards the top of my list.

How much torque would your B Class chuck down on Coyote's Rollers?
              Torque sells tow cars.
              Horsepower wins horse races.

So what you're saying is to make a better sports car you should make it more like a practical daily driver. This is exactly why so many cars these days have great numbers but are shit boring to drive.

Haha - I bought an 86 as a daily because it is practical, safe, and good on fuel. And fun.

My daily commute is now less than 15 minutes including a stop for coffee, no pics drives the B 70km round trip to the city so I have piece of mind with safety and is a great grocery getter and trips to the island

Current drive car is Scoda Octavia RS Diesel so enjoying that as well and the B is well a truly a comuter car

Having good safety features like distronic and good power and practical package is advantageous besides have 2 other cars for the other duties

There's nothing wrong with a commuter car, they serve their purpose. But just as its dumb to put sportscar suspension in a commuter it's stupid to put a commuter engine in a sportscar.

That said, my daily driver is a GT4, get a real car you soft cock cunt.

Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

But the 86 has a Commuter engine in it from the factory.

But at least it's not a diesel

I had an Octavia RS petrol before the 86. The Skoda was a better car in almost every measurable way, but God it was dull. Peak torque at 1500rpm and handling best described as 'mild understeer' aren't that interesting.

86 is slower, less comfortable, and more cramped but way more fun. Although now my daily commute is Old Cleveland Rd rather than Nambour-Mapleton Rd it needs more whoosh.

Easy, I'll set your rev limit to 4000rpm.
