Epic weekend of 86 action in Qld with the 86 sprint series underway. The MCA and Coyote Tuning cars and of course TCR came and demonstrated what these things are capable of in a range of different specs. There is now a great group of 86 drivers that regularly get these cars out where they should be.

Nearly finished fitting 8 of the first 10 Coyoda turbo kits. Ironed out a few bracketry issues and made some jigs for exhaust parts along the way. Both turbo types are performing well on 98 and E85. A further 2 will go to people in kit form.
Designed and produced in Qld. Castings made by LS400X's father in Maryborough. When you need more power you know what to do.

Loving the stealth look. Looking forward to the opportunity to drive Tony's car around the track at some stage.

I think I might like mine to eventually look a bit like this, aside from the wing...

              Lordy.

Can't find much info on what the wheels are worth or how to get them in Aus. Ray's Waltz Forged S7. Being forged they should be light even in a bigger than OEM size, yeah? Or do I have no idea? I know next to nothing about aftermarket wheels

Also, has anyone found a nice, better than stock gear knob? OEM unit is too small for my fat hands, and something heftier would be nice.

Those discs look stupidly small for that wheel size.

Less money on trinkets, more on go fast bits.

couple weeks ago i hit one too many roos in the 86. this was number 5 or 6 over the years.

pushed the rad back about 4 inches and the thremo fan broke on the engine

                  meh, will repair it.....

Yes, that was one of the original design parameters.

Excuse my ignorance. But in the days of low mounts did you ever really see a reason to oppose them diagonally and twin scroll like tino's? Or much fucking around for nothing.

Only did a couple of other twin entries after that one and they were dry sumped and we're still a cunt to plumb right

Yes.. Because using the factory ECU's and swapping them between cars (to ensure no fiddling) would be far too hard..

flex joint needed where the two headers are bridged in the middle?

Do these cars have really thin/soft paint? Five weeks in and I have swirls and minor scratches everywhere. Washed once a week. Looks like I'll need to break out the random orbital.
