After a couple of years of driving on MCA reds mine rattles like fuck. Only solution I've found is driving with windows down and stereo up. There are one or 2 rattles that are easy fixes, but the rest.... forget about it.

The radio/nav units are fitted here by monkeys, I would be removing them to check that it's not something stupid like a poorly placed cable or connector touching something (also if you have the upgrade nav unit you can do the handbrake disable mod at the same time)
I had over 30000km on mine when I sold it and didn't have any issues with rattles (though I usually have music up loud.....)

Same, I'm on MCA blues with the softest setting they provide and Toyota wouldn't even look into the rattles as a result. In the context of things though, it's not much of a worry. I've done 55,000km now and it has taught me more about driving than probably all of my previous cars combined. No torque and no grip, with good handling balance does that at least.

Could be a case of the top-spec model being the one you should want, and if it's balance is fucked-up & it becomes less finely-tuned, people also won't buy the lesser-spec cars?Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. For that money you buy a focus RS/evo/STI/WRX/Levorg. And you undercut all those sales of their own product.
That and the fact they're terribly overpriced as is so they make a killing on each one, and people keep buying them as is. The cunts of things should cost 5-10k less than a base model povvo forester or impreza as it's identical except missing half the drivetrain and doors.
