    After a couple of years of driving on MCA reds mine rattles like fuck. Only solution I've found is driving with windows down and stereo up. There are one or 2 rattles that are easy fixes, but the rest.... forget about it.

      The radio/nav units are fitted here by monkeys, I would be removing them to check that it's not something stupid like a poorly placed cable or connector touching something (also if you have the upgrade nav unit you can do the handbrake disable mod at the same time)

      I had over 30000km on mine when I sold it and didn't have any issues with rattles (though I usually have music up loud.....)

        Same, I'm on MCA blues with the softest setting they provide and Toyota wouldn't even look into the rattles as a result. The worst one is from the rear parcel shelf somewhere.

        In the context of things though, it's not much of a worry. I've done 55,000km now and it has taught me more about driving than probably all of my previous cars combined. No torque and no grip, with good handling balance does that at least.

          So yeah, this thing will be quite the handful. WTF's VR38 into 86 conversion.

            First one in the country rattled on the test drive.

            Mine rattled from the moment I picked it up to the moment I sold it. Of course it was going to get worse.

                My stocker had a rattle from 2 months.
                Even the rs265 is less rattly which is saying something!
                POWER CHIP free since 2003.

                          I guess in the same way Mazda don't see it for the MX5?
                          Don't understand it myself. Could be a case of the top-spec model being the one you should want, and if it's balance is fucked-up & it becomes less finely-tuned, people also won't buy the lesser-spec cars?

                                For that money you buy a focus RS/evo/STI/WRX/Levorg. And you undercut all those sales of their own product.

                                That and the fact they're terribly overpriced as is so they make a killing on each one, and people keep buying them as is. The cunts of things should cost 5-10k less than a base model povvo forester or impreza as it's identical except missing half the drivetrain and doors. Probably a 50% shared BOM between them all.
