To me that definitely looks like same hard points, most of the glass, and probably the roof and doors of the current car. That's not really a problem. I don't think it looks better than the current car, just different, but will have to wait for official photos.

Yeah. I keep reading of two possibilities: a turbo version, or a 2.4 litre NA with 162kW and 240Nm.

I guess 240Nm should fill the low-midrange torque hole, but it doesn't make me want to find a pile of money to change over from my nearly five year old one. A turbo version might.

Because it won't fit under the current bonnet height. One of the big advantages of the boxer is that it can sit low and still allow for 10cm of space (or whatever it is) above the engine to meet current pedestrian protection rules without needing a stupidly high bonnet.

I also wonder if that's what is preventing fitting a turbo version - does Subaru still only do top mount intercoolers?
