I'd been thinking that even the 118i sounded decent as a Golf GTI alternative (less power but RWD might = better overall?) but the 125i seems better again.

Some weird things in that brochure. 16 inch wheels on base model, WTF?

Seat heater is high grade model only, base model spec is otherwise pretty bare bones - no climate control, though does have LSD. Cruise/Airbags/Power everything is pretty standard these days. Could be interesting.

Also worries me that core target seems to be males 35-49, average income $150k/annum. If you hit that target market, you've fucked up your pricing.

Saw a Blue BRZ with NSW Rego leaving Subaru Storage depot at Rosehill last week with Journo's at the helm.
It looked better in the flesh than in pics imho.

should have been aimed at 20-35yo's and been around 20-25k. would have sold 5/6000 times more cars than they will with the above targets.

projections are 1,800 cars p.a. and it tapers off in 2014

i suspect that even with a sub $30k price it woulda sold 2,500 cars at peak? its really not enough really since they sell 3,000 camrys... a month...
