Your call.. Mine is to wear my helmet.

How about I wear mine, you wear nothing and we run at brick walls till one of us can't get up?? Carton of beer on who's standing after a few goes? Fondles your not in cos I'm betting that fisting transvestites has given you a 'special' kind of resistance to brain injuries

Back on topic, I believe that getting fines waived with regards to the OP won't be a problem, however.... IF those guys were getting fined for not wearing helmets during a flood crisis... That's a pretty poor use of power IMHO.

Muz I have seen it first hand. Dont need any statistics. When the head of the trauma unit at the RBH says they are a good idea, I'll take that advice thanks.

I see people make stupid decisions every day.
Some of them make the first story on the news if they try hard enough.
              Wearing seatbelts. good idea.
Wearing helmets and protective clothing if you are on a bike. good idea.
Not drinking/taking drugs and/or not driving like a fucking moron. good idea.
Seems like common sense. Sadly not everyone uses it.

I pedalled 5000km last year. Did 40 of them without a helmet. Hated every metre of that 40km ride. No fucking way I'd ride without a helmet.

Came off my bike hard in 2009. Hit the road helmet first (on the temple area), shudder to think what would of happened if it was my head that hit to road directly.

Nobody would dispute the fact that helmets are safer - no shit they are.

Being forced to wear them however is retarded. Why not enforce helmets in cars, ladders, while running, in wheelchairs, etc as well? That would also make us all safer.

because the last thing the cops need ATM is to waste time rounding up an ambulance to clean up two clowns/riders who've binned their bikes and skulls in the one event.

No, but can you imagine a good reason for not wearing one in this case???

                        1. A lot on thier mind???

i dont need no stinkin' science to tell me i was better off with a helmet after a bitch who sees in widescreen ran me over and i hit parts of her car and the road with my (protected) head.

I got a new bike though (and a helmet) and some time off school so it was win/win after the bruising went away and i didnt even brain my damage.

i also wish i couldve worn a helmet to the pub due to the frequent head punchings and baton whompings i invited as a younger man.
