So I've managed to borrow a 6 month old Eos turbo diesel for a couple of weeks. Drove through the city and across the Harbour Bridge home tonight with the top down, heated seats on, stars up above and 18deg on the thermometer. Was fantastic, loved it. Let's see if the novelty wears off...

I had to google to find out wtf an eos was. some convertibles are acceptable. that sure as hell isn't one of them.

My loaner is racing red. I'm kind of wondering what if any comments will be forthcoming in traffic...

Observations to date:
1. Steering heavier than commodore
2. brake pedal is wierd. Doesn't seem linear at all, no progression to it
3. you can't fit a bag of 10 wet grassy/muddy soccer balls in the boot. Into the cabin they went (sadly)

thats the worst thing about convertibles (gaids aside) is the roof top shit takes up 60%+ of boot space.. and the cars they are based on dont have massive boots to start with.

there have been some cool invoations with the roof tops though.. PT convertibles run little hydraulic pumps in the back to run the roof.. which im sure i could find something to adapt it to

Boxsters dont have that problem actually, are fairly useful as a daily. Never going to have the same boot as a falcadore, but theres enough space to fit 2 cartons in the rear boot and 3-4 in the front.
