Cobra and Velo both make wide seats. We use a Cobra wide seat in the rally cars for ride days so the fatty boombas can fit in.
.
ive got a cobr suzuka in GT width (size 40 pants) and its perfect, its got a tall back on it, high sides and very comfy.
velo's are good too, not a snug fit but will hold you in well enough.
Yep, have two Lico Pro Head, brand new (still in plastic). Can't remember how much they were, but if you are interested then I will look for the invoices. Would prefer to sell them as a pair though.

I like my Cobra Imola Pro, and the Evolution is the head restraint version of that.
Velo do one called the Apex which is also hugely comfy and has head restraints.

Cheaper alternative if you're not doing serious racing.
Yeah, i have one. Great for MX or DH riding, but would be pretty useless in a crash. There is no actual tether to the helmet to limit movement, instead the helmet has to ground out against the brace. They are designed to protect against compressive forces pushing your head about. In an accident you are more likely to get inertial forces extending your spine, which this doesnt protect against.

ah, ok 2nd question, can you get hans holes added to any helmet or would you have to buy a new one?
A lot of the earlier helmets had a provision for HANS posts and u had to drill the holes, but that was quickly stopped because u cant really trust anyone to just drill the holes.... so now u either buy a helmet which is designed to be used with a HANS Device, or without it all together.
If you just buy the HANS posts, say in the US from the likes of Simpson, they come with instructions on how to fit them to any helmet. Some measurements and lines to be drawn etc etc. The caveat is they say check with the helmet manufacturer to ensure it is HANS compatible.
I bought Simpson CF helmets, they fitted one with intercom and HANS, I fitted the HANS to the other, literally a 15 minute job from start to finish.
Oh and if buying posts, there is the Sportsman and Pro versions, the difference is Pro is all alloy, the other has a plastic piece that pushes in to allow the tether to clip to the post.
ps. Just remembered, Sparco have had their circuit seats on special since before Xmas, they have the head restraints and are a vey nice seat.
I use the Corbeau equivalent at the moment, with a Velo on the ballast side when needed.
Just spoke to the guy at GP Cars and this is what they did to their MX5. That seat fit like a glove. At $499 and 300grams lighter than an Pro2000 ($1059) it was a no brainer.
