You mean you don't use it on entry to every intersection?!? Farken poofter.Originally posted by Asteroid View PostMy Camry has this, it's weird at first but you quickly get used to it and it almost makes more sense. The gearstick is closer to the driver as a result and there is more space on the centre console (than cars with the handbrake to the back). Let's be frank, you only grab the thing when you hop in and get out again, if you have to reach over for it who cares?Originally posted by klampykixxas an example, an elephant pushes over a tree to eat the fresh leaves at the top, but a human isnt allowed to build a machine that makes a car so he can drive around to places quicker?

you'll notice a lot of american cars have the handbrake on the passenger side as well... on cars that do not have an RHD equivalent... i would say it's a reasonably common thing to put it on the passenger side to put more commonly used stuff on the drivers side... like dual jumbo cup holdersOriginally posted by boxxx
Deutsche Bahn Rail: Trains are a great way to get lots of people concentrated into a small area, like a camp.

i drive an auto diesel one.
done 11,000 km's since mid decemeber from brand new.
current average economy is 7.8 l/100 km.
lots of highway and city driving. (im a rep)
the auto is fucking awful. off the line, its like the engine has a GT42 strapped to the side and literally nothing happens when you press the loud pedal for about 2 seconds. (friggen dangerous when you come up to those big 'take your life in your hands' round abouts, and have to end up using the footbrake to get it in the torque band to ensure i get thru unscaved some times)
when its up and going its very torquey and pretty good.
if i was buying one for myself with my own money, i would NOT buy an auto one.
no big wrap on the economy. last rep car was a corolla. was better inside, was punchy off the line. hauled ass no problems. and returned 7.8 l/100 also. (1.8L petrol auto)

That's not just a problem in the auto, the manual diesel I drove behaved in exactly the same way. Nothing, nothing, nothing, OMG FAST NOW, change gear.Originally posted by Broomy View Postthe auto is fucking awful. off the line, its like the engine has a GT42 strapped to the side and literally nothing happens when you press the loud pedal for about 2 seconds. have you driven one yet? i reckon anyone that experiences it off the line like i said and marco said just would not buy one.
