Its not a massive car. More room inside than the X1 I had a look at. I guess its similar to the commodore for interior space.
I paid under 65k driveaway.
So I picked this up on saturday. Pretty nice car. Dead quiet and so simple to cruise.
Wont bother taking pics yet, as it looks like any other Evoque in a car yard.
Goes in for tinting Wednesday. Im still trying to find decent looking rims that fit (crappy 5x108 doesnt help)
front is ok room (obviously), back looks a bit hopeless
OEM 20" chromies look homogay but i'm a sunraysia man

How are these holding up? My mrs wants one to cart the kids around in..
They're more like a Micra than a Tarago space-wise, if she wants to actually fit them in there.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Positives: Its smooth, quiet, comfy, great on fuel and the stereo is awesome.
Negatives: Not a very built car. More interior rattles in 5 months than my commodore had in 3 years. Turbo died at 3500kms, trans calibration is 5 years behind the times.
Unfortunately in Adel there is only one service centre to deal with. And they suck balls.
When the turbo died it took 2 weeks to diagnose and fix, and needed a complaint to Range Rover in Sydney to get a replacement car while it was being fixed (after 4 days of no car)
The service centre has turned me off the car more than the issues with the car itself.
The 4 door has more headroom in the back than the 2 doors.
Now that ive sold this piece of shit I can go on a rant of how bad a car they are....
Biggest piece of shit car ive owned by a fair way.
Turbo died at 3500kms
Bluetooth issues
Stereo issues
Headlights would turn off when the indicators were on
Rattles from almost EVERY interior component
Front lower control arm ball joints creaking like a motherfucker when ever the steering wheel was turned
More lag than you could poke a stick at
Throttle response non existent
And the dealer ran out of fucks to give years ago. Service was non existent when fixing the problems. The only issue that was fixed was the turbo, and even that took forever.
I thought English car reliability and build quality (or lack of) was over played. I was wrong.
i think theres a bit of collective PF expectations met
hope the change over costs werent too much

I posted this elsewhere but it actually belongs here ...
Been driving an Evoque around for the last week, 50,000Kms - auto annoyingly slips on a few changes but this morning I booted it while turning at an intersection and an amazingly loud noise from (I believe) the front CV's - sounded like doing a U turn in a 300,000km old front wheel drive car with totally fucked CV's.
I gotta say it hauls ass, everyone of it's 240 horses has bloody big balls, much bigger than the 250 horses of the Subaru Tribeca I was driving around last week. Bit laggy but not awful as Benno has mentioned above, different countries emissions settings maybe?
And I'll add, tyre thump is awful over square edges, does have some rattles, throttle and brake are far too sensitive and has that drive by wire "car decides what to do not you", brake pedal thumps back with a clunk like cheap 70's Japanese car, you could have a coffee while the taigate opens, drives too much like a sporty car which is ok till you're reminded the first instant you go to turn 1700kgs in, I think that will get people into trouble on occasion.
