So Tony say I have a slightly modified S13 (coilies, stock CA18 with cannon/ filter combo), who would you recommend I got to to get it registered? RTA McQuarry Fields?

There's definitely a culture issue at these places, always so grumpy.

When I went to get my brand new trailer regod in Vic, the phone jockey booking the appointment told me to park in the inspection bay and go inside the office.

The grumpy wanker behind the counter got all butt hurt that I had already parked in the inspection bay without him telling me to and wouldn't have it I had been told to park there.

i don't think they are that grumpy

granted i've only experienced silverwater, thornleigh and one or two out in the wild west and the numpty on the other side of the glass could be someone from the bank or the nrma branch or medicare... just a low level counter clerk

i was polite to them and they were nice back

i'm sure it'd be very differnt at merrylands which is now overrun with swedes and bogans

My last couple of visits to the RTA branches, license renewal in March, Engineering/Engine changes in December, have been fairly painless. I've never really had a problem with the branch at Macquarie Centre.

The RTA's real problems are not at branch level, they are at Policy level.
If you dig a hole and it is in the wrong place, digging it deeper isn't going to help.

Over 1 mill spent for them to know that they suck.

Brilliant, I could have done it for free.

The person that heads up the RTA call centres has no business having anything to do with customers, or people in general. An exec branch of customer experience is huge for a govco department! Fingers crossed it happens!

Try dealing with the ACT version. Go into a branch at any time of the day and wait two hours. I much prefer the NSW RTA to those bozos.

Always single fat bitches at vicroads... always. Talking to their colleague next to them about facebook and how smashed they got on the weekend etc. Fucking do your job fat bitch and stop eating ffs...

I rung up, had to wait 3.5 weeks for an appointment, got told on the phone to go out inspections counter. Go to counter on the day, again, old grumpy fuck sends me to general inquiries counter. Fat bitches having a whale of a time chatting to themselves, waiting for my timeslot, half an hour overtime, get told I have to go and fill out another form at other counter first,

                      FUCK YOU vicroads.

the RTA counter service is much better than it used to be. I generally have no problems these days, and the combination of online rego and the ticketing system has made visiting branches much better.
It's when you need to deal with the core of the RTA the fun starts. Dealing with inspectors, phone jockeys and the corporate and engineering decisions made by them.
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

I deal with the RTA all the time. Most of the counter chic's are OK, but there is one at the RTA near my work who is a cunt, no matter what I'm there for there will be a problem. Same as the RTA near where I live, one fat bitch always makes trouble. I just wanted a new e-tag bracket, bitch started whining and moaning and said I need to fill out forms and pay money etc etc. While she is off getting the forms I ask the guy who is walking past for a bracket. Grabs one from the box, hands it to me, I walk out.

The RTA... court handed down a 1 year license suspension, RTA decided upon 3 years, in writing, and sent me a letter stating that they had done so independently of the court outcome.

Solicitor knew someone high up enough in the food chain of the RTA to save me lots of dramas.

Crazy when you think about it, they are a law onto themselves, hopefully the new govco breaks them up a bit.

Nothing shits me more than this. If you did this in the private sector and pissed off that many customers per day, you'd be out on your arse. The whole government culture just doesn't give a fuck about service.
Immigration is the same, they tell you openly that it takes around 8 weeks to acknowledge they received your visa application in the post (not process it, just that they 'got it').
In our company, people ring our CEO if they don't get a response to their email within an hour and tell us our service is slipping *groan*

Edit: Just leaving to go to the DoT to register a trailer and deregister 4 others - should be fun!

and you know these fucken douchebags cost a lot more to run than a similar setup in the private sector

lets see if Gladys whatever can sort this out but i think her mob are the same level as the last mob... and yet it is shitty that Borger comes out with the fire in his belly after he's out
