Rego in Victoria

I like my cars STUPIDLY low, I always have, my last HR Holden was on the stops all round, had to raise the tunnel to clear the tailshaft under the seat, I know they're illegal like that, but I just take my chances............. cops in WA seem to ignore older stuff and just hassle the ricers, so fingers crossed that's the unofficial nation wide policy.......... and yeah, I've been beached a couple times, it makes your "cool" car instantly uncool.............

+1 I got a modified Bugeye STi through the rego process in approximately 10 minutes a couple of months ago.Originally posted by rexxxy View PostNo annual inspections.
No seperate CTP. Its built into the rego (~$670 per year).
Depends on whats been modified. You need to get a Road Worthy Certificate, and book the car in at VicRoads for inspection, but thats more about them getting the engine / vin off the car. You will sail through if you clean up the area around the numbers and generally make it easy for them to process your paperwork.
Etag, you setup an account, think of it like a pre paid mobile phone. You buy credit, travel on the toll roads, and they take out the appropriate fee. Which is fucking expensive.
Dirty great front mount and painfully obvious plumbing in the engine bay. They didn't give a shit about that, just wanted the engine number and that was it.Sparta, Rome, The Knights of Europe, the Samurai. They worship strength, because it is strength that makes all other values possible.

this is BS.Originally posted by morerevsm3 View Postforget ALL the above, if the car is registered in your name now, and you move from another state to Vic, there is NO roadworthy required, just an engine number check at a vicroads office, and you can get full rego
just went through it with the work car, cost $1700 for roady (minor repairs) and reg/stamp duty etc etc etc.
they DEFIANTLY wanted a roadworthy cert.
well at least they did two weeks ago.
oh, and they did not even want to see the car, even though I was told they did..... because every driver experiences the destructive potential of the effortless surge of power available through the smallest of body movements.

When we moved to Vic they didn't want a roady or to see the engine numbers.Originally posted by morerevsm3 View Postforget ALL the above, if the car is registered in your name now, and you move from another state to Vic, there is NO roadworthy required, just an engine number check at a vicroads office, and you can get full rego
Just had to pay for rego and fit new plates.
This was three years ago.
