How can anything with a separate chassis and leaf springs "drive like a car"?
had a vz commodore wagon before this and the ride is slightly harsher but it goes around corners the same or better than the commonwhore. I drive gorge road (motorbike hotspot in sa) everyday and i prefer it over the wagon. my wife wants one for herself now.
hiluxs are reasonable stiff with largish tyres and a mountain of torque. the commodore used to wallow around on soft std springs this doesn't.

I drive a Ssangyong Actyon dual cab and love it.
Got it because it has a lot of standard features but more than anything it has coil sprung rear end (so it does drive like a normal car) the tow rating and load rating are a little less than the others but I dont need it for my line of work so I rather the comfort.
Very quiet and good on fuel!

GTREA where are you getting those prices from. Am currently interested in a Triton GLXR and 38990 drive away would be pretty sweet.

I went onto car sales compare to see all the specs. But it is hard to know the version of the model to put in to do the compare. I live very close to all the dealers on napean hwy brighton, so might go for a walk and check out all the specs.

                        +1 for D40 Navara.

Did EVERYTHING beatifully. Only thing that shit me after 2 years was the leaf springs were a bit rough since they were at load-carrying spec. in future I would downsize to something more comfy since it was rare for me to be carrying more than 1.5ton anyway.

What are the Rangers like? With the new model coming out, they've been advertising the Wildtrak for $41990 drive away. Surely with a bit of pushing you could get that to $40k. That includes a 5 year warranty too.

I've been tempted recently to get the nopics a family wagon and trade the Pathy in on a dual cab ute.

last week of august proved to be a very good time for me to buy the triton I have. from ~25k to 20.8 drive away with a nudge bar, tow pack and lock up box. (from southern mitsu)

we got a similar % disc at the same time of year on the mazda3 too. Seems they will sell their grandma's cheap about then.

I have one of the last model Hiluxes. Good thing, really useful, and TBH with the amount of crap i cart around to and from Bunnings, engines, bikes, karts in the tray etc etc, im not sure why i didnt get one about 5 years ago.
