      I think you are talking about the first VOC HS clearcoats that didn't have enough solvent to dissolve the basecoat. Most of the industry should have comfortably moved on since those days...

      This would be either really shit clear or an extended period between painting the basecoat and clearing it.

        It'd have to be a backyarder. Hardener in the basecoat, left 3 days, then acrylic clear. :knock:
