Shannons is $3k main rider gear and $1500 for pillion ( if applicable )

Kyle get on the Shannons website and click on the "speak to Shannons now" tab and they will call you

Womblesti not sure why they wont insure it they do plenty of others so might pay to call back.

Kyle, the VTR is/was with Swan Insurance, I signed with them when the were offering learner deals through the Honda riders club. Got car NCB and excess level applied. They may still do the deal, Certainly they were always cheapest with good cover for me. Must remember to cancel that policy...

To be honest it didn't surprise me as I do ride to work in peak hour traffic everyday and I know this isn't their thing. It's a bit disappointing as I have our territory, limited use STi (less than 1000k per year) and my wrx race car insured with them. I've given them a couple of goes at it so I'm happy to stick with QBE.

I did an online quote for the territory with someone else and it was half the cost. Might look at moving it soon.

I tried Shannons as my car is with them but they don't insure anyone who might actually want to ride their bike ever. They referred me to another company (can't remember which one now, poss sister company?) but they didn't insure anyoneone who has lost any points so between them they can't be real fuckin busy!

                  Swann Insurance gets my +1

I've put in a claim with them years ago and had no problems with assessors, claims or repairs (the repairers were Newcastle Kawasaki fwiw)

My 900 costs me about $30 a month to insure with full gear and helmet protection, ncb protection, agreed value @ $16k and all the bells and whistles.

Any insurer will rape a new rider, unfortunately you just have to suck it for the first year.

So why don't Shannons insure new riders anymore? Am really happy with all our vehicle insurance and discounts through them, all mods declared too - but no one under 25 can drive our cars.... damn shame that :D
                  I forgot the old login.....

I switched to Shannons from Insure my Ride this year due to the rider gear cover. The premiums were the same but with multi policy discount at shannons, it ended up being cheaper.
