Best place to go to for historic Z info is here http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/f...-History-ForumOriginally posted by Momus View Post260DET,
OK. The catalog is the forerunner to NISMO .
Have you a link with info on the light gauge body info?
A couple of us were looking at compiling info with a view to getting approval for improved parts to be used in Group Sc. Most of the gun Z drivers are pulling out of Sc because they just can't compete with the upgrades Porsches are allowed to use. It could be done but would involve some expense because of the language problem and, realistically, no Japanese car is going to be allowed improvements in AU which will enable it to dominate the Euros.

Winner, very impressive engine IMO. I'd even condone running one with a carb and dissy in an old Z.
Google tells me that Brian hartley racing (The Head Shop) in Palmerston North sells inlet manifolds and cams for these.

I have an NA 2JZ with a W58 5 speed in a commodore UTE. 11.5 comp, extensive head work. And made 175kw to the tyres, no more. With a bit more aggressive cams may make an extra 10kw, to what end??Originally posted by clutch-monkey View Post^ after reading above about how dismal NA RB's are, have people done much with n/a 2jz's to much result?
Just go turbo in what ever you use, unless LS1 or 350 SBC....."What mans mind conceives, mans character creates"

You would be mad to put a windsor in any conversion instead of ls whatever. The amount I spent on my 347 to make less power than a ls makes one unhappy. Windsor does sound far better.
But for a 240z, I say itb injection or weber L six. They sound great and go well enough for some fun times. I've seen enough compete to know they can go well enough.
All comes down to what you want from said z.
