You could go something like a 16x8 with a +10 offset and fit some 225 wide tyres.

Can get a bit more meat on there if you run coilovers.

Dude just lip the guards, won't hurt the originality or resale. Not flare, just flatten the lips. Heat gun+ competent operator = no damage. In fact you'll probably only need to do the rears.

OK bit of an update for those interested and some advise needed.

Car is now getting ready for blue slip after a couple of minor fixes, mainly ride hand turn indicator and interior light etc. Should be blue slipped tomorrow and registered Saturday.

I have been very impressed with the L26, very smooth and plenty of torque.

So onto the questions, currently the motor as the twin Hitachi carbs, what would the cost and benefit of going to a triple SU setup.

Ps. If you are going to take it away from stock (which you now seem to be) buy an L28 cheap and rebuild it. It will crap on the L26 from up high. Even an L24 Craps on the L26 if you make them rev.

Oh ok, so you can't go triple SU on these. All new to me. Please school me.

I really wanted to see what improvement could be made to the existing motor (although still impressed with it the way it is)

Oh and wheel wise the wantanbes are just too much (new). So I will probably just end up the superlites or rotas.
