There are bolides, micro meteorites and other junk whizzing around space that you can crash into (or more accurately they can crash into you) but space is so big (and the probes/satellites/space stations we currently have are so small) that the probability of a collision is quite low.
However once we get bigger and bigger installations into space (and the amount of space junk/debris we cause increases) then it's something that will need to be planned for.
