ppl get all excited about caliper size it dosent matter the master cylinder dictates the pressure at the caliper pistons

the desired feature of big brakes is rotor mass as more mass meas greater thermal transfer capabilitys

pad friction area is also a good thing to have more of

FWIW there is a JZA80 supra in the latest Zoom that is running in the 8's on a stock 2JZ/glide with stock IRS so it can be done.
