also the yellow 28 on car sales has been for sale for ages, and looks about half the first asking price from memory...

guess the big $$ ones are what it would cost to build from scratch, so easier and cheaper than building??

so sad i parted with mine and all the bits....
    Nafe should have bought it!

At those prices you can almost buy a mustang and get the real thing.

TA22's arent at camaro prices yet though

The big 5 figure ones are Toymods plonkers who think winning their own concourse with other toyota weirdbeards makes their car worth gazillions.

In reality, majority are $5k not 5 figures.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, and from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip-malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moments lost in time; gone like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die.

Less rust to be had in a 23, 28's are a rusty cunt of a thing around the hatch. Like Justin said, 23's look the toughest, 22's smaller engine bay than 23/28's.

I didnt think they are that expensive?? Sold my 1G 23 in 2003 for $13.5K, which was OK money for what it was. Wish i never sold it, loved it!

Damo (without reading any posts in this thread except the first) I know of an RA28 about 3hrs from cbra on the way to griffith that is just sitting in this guys front yard in bumfuck idaho. Will need a little bit of work though.

EDIT there is also a mustang too

I had a TA23 with 18RG twin Solex's as my first (project) car that I completely rebuilt, and an RA23 as my first registered car. Still have a soft spot for them. I wasn't a great fan of the TA22's or the RA28's. 23's are where its at!

Yes, definitely some dreamers selling early series Celicas.

Spotted this for sale just up the road from my house, called the owner and as told it has a Supercharged 2 ltr, Honda head with older sty;e EFI (little to no pollution gear).
Haltech, bigger injectors, Corona pistons to drop the comp ratio for boost.
5 Speed (from the S/C engine)

Would be a 1GGZE, head may have Yamaha cast on it like the older Toyota twin cam heads (like my 3TGTE), no way it is "Honda Head" and I call BS on the Corona pistons. Sounds like he does not know what he is talking about.
