Im sure a freight forwarder would probably be cheaper than buying locally still.

Or... get a bunch of people together, buy a crap load of tyres, fill a container and ship a heap over in one go. surely containers are not THAT expensive

Doesn't effect them at all. They're not allowed to buy OS anyways. Has to be from an authorised distributor.

Either that or just get some federal tyres through Coffin on here, also means you dont have to worry about getting shit thats out of date/etc like tirerack has been known to do with international orders. Thats what Im doing.

              Fuck the cunts.

As I mentioned before, I think shipping would be too expensive using a freight forwarding service. Tirerack has very good prices on international shipping. USPS or Fedex outside of tirerack would be hurtful.

I know quite a few people using tirerack, none of them have had problems with receiving old tyres. I'm sure it has happened but it also happens buying locally. I bought some Pirelli's 2 months or so ago for my ex's softroader, they were newer stock than you'd get local.

              Federals... do not want.

Well NO....IPRA have a contract to purchase ALL tyres used through the Aust Yoko Motorsport network

A competitor was excluded from 2 races then banned from taking part in the rest of the meeting for using tyres he had imported himself

Its a long involved story ..but lets say this was done to prove a point....points were cost and compounds supplied here

and now with the A050 ...it seems to not have been fixed

I received old tyres, despite being assured they would be fresh stock. When I emailed them about it they said tough luck.

At least if you get old stock locally you can refuse it at the store and get a refund.

                        What size?

The FZ201's I get are generally about 12 weeks old from the factory.

I may have contacts into getting Yoko's from a wholesaler in the US

Damo - any word as to whether or not they are going to release some decent sizes in a 15"? Like a 225.50/45.15 or up?
