I may have contacts into getting Yoko's from a wholesaler in the US

PM me a price on AD08's in 245/35R19?

Is there a Yoko/Toyo cheaper alternative to the DZ03s?

haha, I was trying to work out whether they were dumb or smart. I would probably have my mind made up & pay for the tyre I wanted, but not sure if others are the same. If others are the same as me it's probably not a bad play...but in any event it's a short term strategy

They're obviously not gonna be cheap being 19s, the fact you can buy a set of 22-inch Ling Longs for under a grand makes it hard for people to justify, but the fact the Chinese tyres are full of plastic, get what you pay for.

                    Fair enough.

Yeah, if shit like this keeps happening, it'll create a good opportunity for freight forwarding companies. But the cunts would probably find out and not ship to any freight forwarding company addresses.

i can almost guarantee it'll cost in the vicinity of $150-$200 to ship *one* tyre from a forwarder

demontweeks seem fairly reasonable when it comes to tyres

The guy thats bringing in my Camaro brings a container over every couple of weeks of all sorts of parts etc, .... if there is interest I can see if you can get stuff sent to his warehousing facility (Has one in Longbeach, and one in Texas) and then shipped over here in a container?

I have bought (or been quoted on) tyres from various places in the US and UK and nowhere has been even close to Tirerack on shipping costs.

                              eg
                              4x 18" tyres from Tirerack - $280 shipping
                              2x 17" tyres from Demontweeks - $215 shipping
4x 17" tyres from Discounttires via PriceUSA - $617 shipping...

Having said that, even from Tirerack freight charges can be a bit of a lottery
