Duty on Importing a car from the UK

I'd also double check the duty side of things cause it can be as high as 30% duty on a complete car. Duty on car parts is 10% and you can't send more than 70% worth of a car in parts in the same container or it's classified a complete car and subject to the higher duty. This is why I got the Ultima send in two shipments.

Also if the car is going to be regoed at any point you need to have written approval from DOTARS and rego to bring it in or you will only be left with a car that they won't even let leave the docks.

Would appear so. I wonder when it gets calculated, because I know GST is on top of the purchase and shipping price. I think it's 5% of the purchase price then GST on car, shipping and duty. The cunts.

So 25000 pound car in question becomes:

Car $36650
Shipping $5000 (approx)
Duty $1832
GST $4348

Total $47830

So how far out am I in my estimate you reckon? The car can never and will never be eligible for rego. It is a pure racing car.
