I've never won a thing in a sporting contest, but I did come first in Year 11 computer studies at my school (for which they handed out medals!) and was in the top ten of all year 9 geography students in NSW in 1995.

Yep no sporting excellence for me either.

I think i got runner up in a state judo competition when I was about 10.

Won a karting club championship but I think I was the only one who turned up for every meet throughout the year.

Apparently topped the surgery rotation + exam out of my year of 400 med students last year. Not sure how but I will happily take the $1900 university cash prizes :D

        Funny buggers !!!

Uhmm...I came 1st out of 90 try-hard wanna-be racecar drivers in the Caterham 7 at a Palmer Autosport day at Bedford Autodrome...does that count for something? John, you are my witness...(you come 2nd or so, didn't you ? ) Somewhere in the attic I have a plastic carbon-fibre-look plaque to prove it !

Apart from that I am essentially an under-achiever at most things, so I suck at these pissing comp things.
Oh, I know! I got a bronze swimming certificate when I was about 9, which if I recall correctly means I could dog-paddle about 20 metres, combined with not swallowing more than one third of the water volume, in any given country town 1/2 olympic sized pool. This remains a proud achievement.

I've got a fair few trophies at my parents place for a heap of stuff when I wad a young lad. Football (aussie rules), soccer, t-ball, baseball and tennis. I was the div 1, number 1 junior tennis player at my local club at 13 or 14. Actually played Lleyton Hewitt once (probably 2 years before he won the Adelaide open and hit the big time), he kicked my ass 6-0. IIRC we had the same coach at the time.

Got my license at 16 and didn't pick up a tennis racket again until I was 26... Obviously had more important things to do- mainly smoking cones and trying to pick up slarts.

Won my first trophies in a over a decade last year. Took the bracket 2 outright win at a round of the SA road racing championships at Mallala last year, got a pretty cool trophy and a $150 Pirelli tyre voucher. Also came third in Limited at the November round of the SA road race champs and got a pretty sweet trophy it. Would have got another trophy for Bracket 1 at that same meet but I got disqualified for going too fast for my qualifying time (couldn't get clear track during quali).
