Are any of the rotary powered Gemini's left in Canberra? One of the McLinden brothers had a quick one, not sure where they went after their smash shop closed but was always wondering how they made a cent storing 20+ cars between the spray booth and the front door and only having enough room left to work on 1 or two cars..

Bloke at my work takes his Gemi to Jake. I asked about him once and was told that he picks and chooses who he wants to deal with. I got the feeling that if you dont have a gemini or VL with a candy paint job, you fail the required customer criteria.

Jakes tuned my 31 twice, and done some tuning work on my mates rb30 torana. It's pretty hard to get onto him, ringing on his mobile is the easiest to get on to him. But fuck hes switched on, can talk your ear off underwater with a mouth full of marbles. Last time he tuned my car he spent from 10am till 430 on it, modifying the dizzy, rewired a few things and tuned it and charged me 500 bucks which i thought was awesome.

Another late model one (TG sedan) has recently been stripped down (Lives in Belconnen)

There used to be a Blue Print TG with a 12at in it then was converted to spastic 13bt. It's story is sad and like mine never finished.

I used to talk to Jake when I was doing some work at a shop in Mitchel. Yea he is extremely knowledgeable but definitely has his favourite cars to tune that's for sure.

In saying that a guy I used to knows nephew took his Rx3 there with some serious $ in the engine bay. Popped it and told him to get on his way don't bring it here again.

Hopefully AutoTech isn't like this.

I'm a sus cunt that knows shit… nah it's just a Canberra thing, everyone is inbred and knows everyone.

Jake isn't all about the candy painted hecticness, he only works on stuff he is interested in, which can be awkward when he loses interest in your car, but he's pretty awesome when he's on his game.

As for McLindens, Paul is now a builder, has a big block altered that runs 8s and a turbo VW buggy with 270hp at the wheels. Both tuned by Jake too
