Having a bike transported interstate, what company ?

While we're on the subject, anyone know of a company / individual who transports bikes ?

I'm about to put a few of my vintage bike collection on eBay and it would be nice to be able to broaden my market by arranging shipping if anyone asks. Last one I sold (rolling frame plus lots of boxes), the buyer arranged shipping and it all went really smoothly. Guy turned up at the appointed time, loaded the bike into the enclosed van and was gone in half an hour. I just can't remember the name of the company or find the card I got off him at the time :knock:

What are you selling Dave? I got a hankering for an old bike I can play with.
I'll sms you a number tomorrow for a guy I know. Trustworthy and will do a good job.

One of these (but not this one). BSA C11G, single cyl 250cc 4 stroke.

The one in the pic is my old bike that I sold a year or two back (and that's me a lot of years ago). The one I'm selling now is my father's bike - its very similar ('55 instead of '54 model, but basically the same), is half-restored and is fairly complete. Restoration was started 25 years ago, but it hasn't had any work done on it for at least 20 years. It is half assembled, most (all??) parts are there, but it still needs finishing.

And this one - 1936 VG Ariel. 500cc 4 stroke pushrod single, interestingly with twin port head (one exhaust valve, but two exhaust ports, two pieps and two fishtail mufflers). I've had this for 25 years or more and haven't done a thing to it (except collect parts). It needs full restoration and there's still a few parts to collect (most obvious, expensive and hard to find would be the instruments from the fuel tank panel).

Would be a nice bike, would also be quite an expensive one to restore (chrome alone would be exxy - fuel tank, wheel rims, two exhausts, plus lots of other little stuff)

Would look very similar to this when restored (although to be strictly correct, mine's a slightly earlier model - minor differences to the engine, the tank should have black panels and mine has the flared "touring" guards)

I played with vintage bikes when I was younger, great father-son type stuff, but now that dad has Dementia I just don't have the interest anymore. I need to clear his sheds out as a retirement village / nursing home is on the cards in the not-too-distant future
