Yeah true! The large Makita/Milwaulkie aren't usually put on display at most places and most a shocked how big it is! 25cm in length they are! From experience I will never buy a impact under 300NM is if was my primary tool for removing larger nuts.

Do you lose power with the makita units as the carbon brushes wear down? Or leave it until it hits the indicator as it makes no difference?

I got muz to send me some shit last week ($389 deal) and it rocked up on monday. charged my shit up and hit the steering bits on teh datto (19mm nuts on ball joints) with the impact driver, took them off no worries and was overall pretty awesome. should have bought one of these a long time ago - cuts your working time down by a heap!

the only problem i had was when i opened the box i found lots of sticky man jizz on the drill, and it looked like muz had been shelving one of the 2.6aH batteries, but apart from that everything was good. motherfucker is a weird sonofabitch.

Just a note for anyone thinking of buying ... do it thru Muz!! Big ups from me. Just got my $389 pack, top notch service, very happy. I know he is a regular here but that doesn't always mean anything. Great eBayer, will buy from again! I originally emailed him at work at about 9:30 at night, and his boss actually replied initially despite the time of night, now thats service by my standard, anyone else would have, understandably, just let it go till the next day. Deal was done quick and easy, and everything arrived just as promised. Very happy!

Mahhaaaaaa! Looks like you were posting at the same time as me Stocky, but I was gonna keep quiet on the nasty stains as I figured that was just part of the cost offset of getting such a cheap deal!

The brushes in makita cordless gear are very hard, won't wear down quickly. Which isn't the best thing.. No you won't loose power as they wear down.
