Cordless rattle guns and drills that aren't shit?

i've noticed that cordless tools really are hit or miss, and im sorry but the vid posted above is a miss. Just spend the $3-400 and get a Makita or whatever so that when you do go to actually use it, it works and you don't sit there like a mong waiting for your "rattlegun" or wahtever it to charge up.
PS. I have a 14v panasonic which does well.

1/2" - 610nm of Torque

3/4" - 710nm of Torque

Don't bother buying shit, when with a bit of haggling you can get that 1/2" one for $6-700.
We trialled the 3/4" one on our impact test rig, and it was undoing M36 bolts like they were nothing, shaved 40mins off our set up time, and the battery lasted all day without need of a charge.
Easily out performs any of the pneumatic stuff we have lying around - which are all Wurth as well.Originally posted by lickmyleftoneBut by all means drink a litre of rum, double bag the old fella and grunt one up it. If that floats ya boat.

Yeah- that tool is an orphan. No other tools use that battery or charger and Wurth are THE BIGGEST CUNTS to deal with. Ask them who is going to repair it.
The Bosch does 650Nm in 1/2 drive and uses a battery platform that covers about 60 tools.

Definitely the same item. WURTH sales guy told me and I swapped my Milwaukee battery into his WURTH item and it worked perfectly. I looked at the WURTH from every angle. It's identical except for colour. Very heavy too.Originally posted by Forg View PostRefer Walt Kowalski's post, #31 ... if Wurth is rebadged Milwookie but at 33% extra cost, gopher the Milwookie.
$177 on ebay shipped. Aus supplier.
You then need a charger and battery but they have every cordless tool imaginable for this brand and you amortise the cost of the battery and ther charger over other tools its a no brainer. I have had the Milwaukee rattle gun for about 18 months now and it has copped a flogging.
I have decided to sell all my other cordless tools and buy Milwaukee to have just one battery setup. Some of their other tools.

At the end of the day you want your wheel nuts to stay on and I would simply not trust those el cheapo things unless you use a torque wrench afterwards on every nut and OP's wife is not going to do that.
Except in enduro pit stops where rules say we have to double check nuts withtorque wrench I don't even bother now to use torque wrench as I have checked the Milwaukee hundreds of times against the torque wrench and the Milwaukee is consistent as some other brands may also be - not sure.
I am only bothering to post all this because its a safety issue for OP and others who might be mislead. I would not drive a car with nuts tightened by those cheapo things. Just me.

The WURTH long deep sockets with the plastic coating to protect rims are the ducks guts. I also have the Snap On items but they are primitive by comparison.

Have been looking for a while as my current Snap-Ons need their batteries repacking. Lucky if my 18v last more than a few hours, and the 12 volt is lucky to survive taking the battery out of the charger and walking to the job.Originally posted by bigmuz View PostThe Bosch does 650Nm in 1/2 drive and uses a battery platform that covers about 60 tools.

I am torn between the Bosch and the Makita but was looking at a Milwookee addition using my current charger setup. I have a Milwookee Drill and impact driver set but they are the old battery style, so will not power the new 1/2 inch driver and would have to buy new charger/batteries.
Was almost talked into the Bosch recently, but could not swing it.
Want to get new kit with drill, 1/2 inch driver, small impact driver like the Z group buy and batteries to suit.
Want to get all my stuff in line so I do not have 70 different chargers lying around the place and I f I need new items, they can be bought bare.
The 1/2 inch driver would spend most of the time in the rally car, as I have my setup so the driver operates the jack. The Snap-On did it, but would struggle now I think.
What price for above kit, and which brand.Sturgeon's Revelation (sometimes referred to as his second law): Ninety percent of everything is CRAP

Good point, I don't actually have a wife. I was just using that as an example. I always use a torque wrench myself as well.Originally posted by Walt Kowalski View Post

I ended up picking up a ryobi one mostly due to already having a battery for them. Got the square drive 265Nm one for about $150. She whips the nuts off very quickly. F1 style pit stops incoming.

That's an impact driver for 1/4 inch shank bits for batten screws and roofing screws and not an impact wrench which has a 1/2" square drive for sockets.

I have that impact driver as well. It's good for knocking self tappers and wood screws into anything.
I also have the 3/8 impact wrench. It's great for buzzing shit on and off, I only wish it had a stronger body and a rachet built into the head so you could swing off it to crack small bolts loose
Ps. Not Cracka.Originally posted by BosshoggettIf your planing to drive this on the road and enjoy it, id suggest a second opinion, someone with a history in Australian Rally or Fink River . If your just playing dyno comps. Then ok
