Well yep its over and out for us.
Apparently a semi-common thing to rip the centres out of the clutch plates on 968's and this it whats happened to us. We got it to a workshop and diagnosed, and not many clutches for 968 in Devonport. Porsche Melb had modern 911 ones, but not for us.
We're in Strahan at the moment beering it up, but then to hobart tomorrow for a couple of days as the guys cant get the car onto the boat before their booking on Monday night.
From talking to others, the Sideling was hit and miss, dry for some in places, wet as shit for us .... have uploaded the youtube, .. the fog at the top is scary
I'll upload more from Leg 2 when I get back to canb.

BC has been toying with the idea of Adelaide hills Tarmac rally in a few weeks, but I cant get there due to work committments, so there is a chance we'll be back next year.
Funniest thing I heard yesterday, I was talking to Illman's nav, and why they went off. ... "9 into a 3 and he just had too much speed .... I feel really sorry for him as he hasnt finished a Targa Tas yet"

Two things from that video that bring it home, the navs hands go for the cage as it goes over and it takes the driver 26 seconds to get out. For a light roll they certainly get thrown around.Originally posted by 6000SUX View PostHere's some more in car of the munted Mustang. You can hear the driver say "Sorry that was completely my fault". The road was wet so maybe it just stepped out on him and he couldn't catch it?
Not saying I could get out any quicker, just makes you realise how quickly it all goes wrong and how lucky some mates have been when they've ended the wrong way up covered in fuel...230SL 'Pagoda' | 911 SC Targa | FC RX-7 Infini

Fuck that shits me. Even seen pro's do it. I know it's instincts but you need to burn it into your brain. If it fucks the full cage up, your forearms ain't stopping shit.Originally posted by [CatchMe] View PostTwo things from that video that bring it home, the navs hands go for the cage as it goes over...I own a two and a half litre Commodore

Fair point on human instintcts, its one thing to sit here and say thats wrong but when the your airborne its a different story and you just do it just out of instinct even though its not the wisest thing.
