Not this thread, but the SAU thread yes. Like i said, id met him before, know several owners of big dollar builds he has completed and purchased from him in the past. Mutual friend is in the industry and assured me he was back on track. I had alot of work i wanted completed to the point of eventually having to drop my car there. Lets be honest, when he is on game he does fantastic work.

So gave him a chance with a few smaller jobs first which has bitten me in the ass, mutual friend is gutted and trying to help me out now and has stopped recommending him and removed all his work from the shop as well.

Not looking for sympathy, openly admitting i gave it a gamble. Just posting to let everyone know its continuing and isnt getting any better.

Im heading into hospital tomorrow for surgery on a broken ankle but someone is heading into his shop monday to collect my parts/cash.

Person i was counting on sorting this out for me has been to busy with WTAC prep, and is now at track for next 6 days straight so i still dont have issue resolved, and im stuck in a wheelchair for at least the next 6 weeks with my ankle in a cast after breaking it.

Allright! Results!

So i ended up cracking the shits and drove 5 hours down to brads workshop with a mate to pick up my stuff.

Upon arriving he asked who i was and what i wanted. Told him i was there to pick up my sump, rocker covers and oil pickup.

He promptly tells me none of it is ready... Funny considering i have messages on my phone from the 29th of September saying my stuff was finished and apparently sent.

There was another msg received on the 10th october informing me a fitting was damaged on the rocker cover so my stuff was held back so it could be repaired. and that it would be welded on the next day and sent.

I payed on the 23rd or august, and he had received my sump and rockers two weeks beforehand.

It was agreed for the price paid that my sump would be made larger, with baffles installed. A drain plug and a additional Dash fitting to suit my head drain.
My rockers to have custom baffles made and installed, along with 2 Dash fittings welded on.
My pickup extended to suit sump.

This is where it gets interesting. I tell Brad im not leaving till i see my stuff and begin walking through his workshop looking for my stuff. (im on crutches after broken ankle and surgery)

He finally agrees to show me my parts, First the rocker covers.

Only one has been touched. The fitting is welded onto the top of the standard location, making it sky high. Would literally poke an inch out of my bonnet.....
Shows me the second rocker cover and says this is the one with the damaged fitting. There is no fitting, in fact... the paint is still untouched. Nothing has ever been welded to it.
Neither rocker cover has a baffle installed. The stock baffles still in place.

He then argues that i never mentioned the baffles... Great start.

Onto the sump.

He tells me that one side still needs to be welded up, he has ground the weld back because it leaked and hasn't gotten around to re-welding it.
HANG ON! i thought this stuff was finished 4 weeks ago brad??? directly ignores my questions several times, i then notice that there are no fittings on the sump.

He then argues that i never asked for any fittings on the sump. Mother fucker, how do you expect me to drain my oil for a oil change? put my car on a rotisserie and let it drain out of the fill cap?

Not only that, but he has also not finished installing the baffle, or the extending the pickup. the pickup is still cut in half. sitting in the bottom of the sump.


Its here i start losing my shit, demanding my money back. He promptly refuses saying he will the finish the work i have asked for (excluding the rocker baffles and the sump fittings) if i leave it with him and he will get it out to me next week. I almost grabbed him by the throat. i could not believe his arrogance.

I demand that he finish welding the sump up and ill take the rest of the stuff as is, but he will finish it on the spot while i wait in his workshop. He reluctantly agree's.

BUT, realises that he has fucked the sump and has to cut it because he has not left enough room to be able to tighten the nuts above the sump wings that connect sump to block. I again insist he does it on the spot while i wait.

Almost 2 hours later since the time we arrived at his shop and i walk out with a sump with no fittings or installed baffle (supplied the baffle for me to fit) a cut stock oil pickup and my rocker covers that still need baffles and fittings supplied and welded. the one he has fitted will need to be cut off and re-done.

Fuck you Brad you shit cunt, also who was the slut that came and seen you with a kid if your fucking wife left you and her kid isn't yours apparently?

STRONGLY SUGGEST whoever is owed parts/product/cash to go and confront him and not back down. especially on a friday after three cause he will more than likely be alone

The guy from SAU that is having his cage made there was actually there when i got there, he tried to plead his case till i showed him all the messages and showed him the work. he promptly seen my side and began apologizing for some reason :/

He also seems to be doing most of the work on his own car....

There's dickheads anywhere but sau reminds me of ls1.com. The self moderation and prudent mods here makes a lot of places like that look like daycare centres, complete with overbearing ego tripping dickhead mods, usually to guarantee revenue. Thank fuck for our glorious leader.

The two doing the constant defence of this character really should pull their heads in though. It's that sort of faint support noise that enables this sort of shit. Guy might be a motherfucking genius at fabrication but shouldn't be in business if that's how he treats his customers. Go and get a job fabricating for someone else, get medicated, whatever, just stop overpromising and underdelivering with peoples hopes and money.

Reminds me of a mate using one of his mates to fab a canopy. Won't go into details except to say that the story sounded very similar (decent work, fabrication promises, massive delays) and amphets were involved. Not insinuating that necessarily but guy either needs to get his shit together or have his dodgy dealings hound him so this doesn't keep happening to other people.

I can't imagine Bev or Fatz (here) have a reason to lie so not knocking choppo but what do you expect to achieve mate? The evidence seems pretty plain. He obviously has skills, just not with time or money by the looks of things and is pretty capable at stretching truth.

I might be a bit jaded here as I've spent the last 7 years dealing with junky sociopaths and I fucking loath that behaviour. There's always a list of excuses as long as your arm, honest questions are segued or ad hominen'd and after enough breaches of trust you're left feeling mighty stupid. To have people impugn you or make you look like the bad person due to their own insecurities and problems is just fucked. So I'll admit I'm bandwagoning this one a bit as nothing fucks me off more than people perpetually breaching others trust due to their own shortcomings/problems.

Because they have their problems, they shouldn't make them everyone elses. I feel shit if I breach any commitment and this guy only seems worried when his head's being held over the shitter.
