That's bullshit. You can't string someone along for 10 months telling them that this work or that work had been done when it clearly hasn't.

Saying that "shit just happens and its hard to get motivated on some cars" is the lamest shit I have ever heard !!! So you just leave them in the corner to slowly rust away.

I have a workshop as well . Im fairly flat out too and sometimes jobs take longer which is normal .
Ive had 2 previous relationships and both of them have been in tears over some of the comments sent to them in PMs or posted up about them .
Ive been threatened to have my workshop burnt down by a forum moderator . Both of my ex's have been called sluts and what not openly by forum trolls . In the end it would have contributed to them leaving . Your chosen career is going to dictate how others will view you , the more succesful you are the more people will attack you , its normal and its something your going to have to deal with to be succesful . I learnt the hard way and really wasnt expecting that kind of behaviour from my competition . But it has happened and honestly I dont know how to deal with it very well . Gone are the days where differences are settled on the racetrack . Here are the days where openly attacking people under a false name is the norm .

I dont beleive for one moment that im the only one and its a sad reality to face.
I know alot of other fabrication shops that cop the same type of treatment from people. I also know alot of fab shops that have 12-24month projects around too, those people have actually taken peoples money as well.

At the end of the day Bevan knows how to contact me and he received my voice mail this morning with my concerns. If he wishes to chat then im all ears. Everyone can jump up and down all they like over something that doesnt concern them, it seems to be the way the internet works.

The harsh reality is that 99% of the people making ridiculous comments are people who would have never been customers of mine anyway.
If ive let others down then I apologise ( I dont know of any at this stage......) but I dont think that apology is nessisary as no one else seems to have had this type of experiance with me.

then again, i never told him i'd be able to do some work for him in a certain time frame, then did over 10 times the original timeframe to do absolutely fuckall.

I've had one of those cars, which was in a workshop for over a year. But every time I called, it was "sorry Babs, been super flat out, and tbh I haven't looked at it yet."

That's ok with me, because I know what's going on. Not an ideal situation obviously, but the ball is in my court to take the car back if I wanted to, and it was my decision to leave the car with the workshop. In the end, they did spend time on the car here and there (but didn't sort the issue) and offered to let me have the car back at no charge for their time since they couldn't complete the job. In my books, that was no harm, no foul since they were upfront, and I still use the workship today for smaller things.
