There will most likely be an overall engine weight rule as well as an engine CoG position rule. They have not finalized that yet. There is not currently an overall weight or CoG rule, just minimum component weights (block, heads, crank etc)

No, there is some new plan coming into effect. Nissan get to race with a quad cam v8. There was a write up about it in auto action a couple weeks ago.

Yeah my bad, I assumed to much. as I said before;

Well the heat is back on and there will be many many surprised people (myself included) if they don't make an announcement in the next few weeks to say SBR are running mercs next year.

The deal will have support from AMG and Merc HQ, Merc Aust just don't want to have to pay anything so no official "factory" support.
