    Not going to read this novel but anyone who starts with an engine is a teeny novice. Start with the car and it's purpose, that is how it's done if you want to end up with something that boats your float.

            1G-GE front sump (like IS/altezza) is just the block width with a bowl infront of the crossmember, nothing major/no wings. Crossmember is straight east/west so not a big issue for a winged sump like the 1gz/1uz/2jz etc.

                  The moment I heard Clayto's crank over on the dyno, I needed one again. Is200 looks like best at to do it in a car with mod cons, subtle, relative transplant ease.

                  Selling mine had to happen as it was about to become a 50k car. Rebuild, box, turbos, e85/flex, drag radials and steelies etc etc etc. it would never end.

                      Cheap, comfortable. Not exactly modern, light or 100% rust proof, but would be easy to engineer, suit an auto box, in board rear discs and unbreakable diffs?

                        IS200 is obvious choice. Easy fit, great chassis, will be more than enough power NA, nice car all round except rubbish engine.
                        Auto would be a mistake though. Clayto's is just a cunt because his clutch and flywheel is the weight of an envelope and it is an unsprung centre. Put a normal full face sprung centre clutch in it and it would be a doddle to drive.

                            Clutch flywheel concentric slave pplate hydraulics 3k
                            Adaptor.500
                            Fix adaptor200
                            Re do adaptor 500
                            Fix adaptor v2.0 200

                            Compared to stock manualised auto, 65mm friction ring lockup converter, OEM alignment and dowelling. 3k including linkage for b&m or hurst.

                            Major fuck around, also much more load on diff. Ripping a skid with the auto is far easier on the shittystock 2pinion diff.
