i like the variety of half arsedness from manufacturers from LHD to RHD

VW in the 1960s making cars in australia had everything in the right spot for RHD
VW in the 1990s importing cars CBF changing anything apart from the pedals and steering wheel
Mercedes Benz in the 1970s with starter motors taking up most of the drivers side footwell on RHD (obviously the passengers footroom on LHD)

I reckon this might sell bucketloads.. there is not really much in that class, it has a precious VW badge on it, it has a 5 star rating and it's very cheap. Pretty much the old Getz prices. They seem to be made in Slovakia. Only thing holding it back from the ladies will be the lack of auto. Parents will buy them for their kids.

The satnav/entertainment thing looks interesting, sort of like a removal satnav, except a factory option. Least if it's on the top of the dash it's easy to swivel around to actually use and operate the thing.

"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

Volvo, using the Melbourne factory that VW vacated when buggering-off, couldn't be arsed putting stuff on the correct side.
It was only blinkers after all, pretty much a brand-new never-been-used item in any old Volvo.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Don't even Range/Land Rovers have the indicator on the left even in RHD? And they're supposedly UK cars.

I was collecting a Rangie from Trivett and asked the dude about that and he goes "it doesnt matter as they're all auto anyway"... not that a salesdroid from Trivett is the last word on English manufacture

Aren't the blinkers on the left because the column shift was on the right?

Any car with indicator stalk on LHS of column will be too hardcore for daily driver.

I've got a colum shift with blinkers and shift on the left. Been in more than one different model with that two.

Because inane, entertaining and irreverent. Because PF.

I'm heartily amused wondering how a thread on an average little car can get to 4 pages based on indicator stalks and bad marketing.

Ah, but it's Range Rover ... that's because they fucked up.
