GM in the US are fully into this "make small cars feel like big cars"... make them feel solid etc. planted and ride nice

i think now they've gone overboard, 0-100, 8.4 is about as fast as it gets for the money

6 hrs in an Avis one with under 10k on the clock....overwhelmingly shyte! At 6'2" is was mega uncomfortable, vision was crap, left knee kept cranking the fan dial up and down. Other controls were poorly placed and far from intuitive. Ride was woeful. Steering was twitchy. Gutless. Economy was ok but well below what it should be in this class. Fail. Anyone who buys one of these clearly has no clue or no care about cars?

I'm sorry dude but how did you check the seat height? They have an almost absurd amount of adjustment. The interior is one of the areas GM got pretty well right.

Nothing to do with seat height. Rear vision was shit, seat was shit, blind spots everywhere including the front windscreen FFS? WTF is that massive chunk of plastic the rear vision mirror is stuck too. Dunno what you are used to mate but you could design a better interior with your eyes shut? I was truly staggered how bad this car was?

I drove an i30 rental and was very unimpressed. Cruze must be terrible!

Have you driven any other new small car? They are all the same, looking out the back window of a new Corolla is like looking out a letterbox.

Current CJ Lancer is the same. Moreso with the wanky VRX rear spoiler.
